Works focused on their use in the educational process, automation of management, reverse engineering, autonomous vehicles, or modern technologies that improve road safety - these are just some of the issues discussed during the unique State Higher Vocational School prof. E. Szczepanik in Suwalki. Practical support was provided by companies and enterprises that are leaders in mechatronics and automation in Poland. They participated in discussions and lectures and organized an exhibition of equipment with a presentation of their companies. The partners of the event are, among others: FESTO, ASTOR, VIBRO, TEC, SALAG, DPS SOFTWARE, ASPI, PEC in Suwalki, Suwalki Special Economic Zone, and the Kielce University of Technology.

As part of the international internship, a senior lecturer at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools, Yulia Denysenko, Ph.D., took part in the seventh conference «Manufacturing 2022» at the Poznan University of Technology. At the conference were presented 51 reports and 56 posters from 23 European countries. As a result, five issues of articles were published. They are identified by the Scopus and Web of Science databases. In these issues, there are three articles by the employees of the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies - Vitalii Ivanov, Dc.S. Head of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools; Ivan Pavlenko, Dc.S., Professor of the Department of Computational Mechanics named after Volodymyr Martsynkovskyy, and Christina Berladir, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer of the Department of Applied Material Science and Technology of Constructional Materials. These articles are co-authored with partners from Poznan University of Technology (Poland) and the Technical University of Kosice (Slovak Republic).

As part of an internship at the Kielce University of Technology within the Erasmus + program, Ph.D. student Vladyslav Andrusyshyn took part in the «Maximo User Group Poland» conference in Warsaw. The conference was dedicated to the presentations and case studies on IBM Maximo Application Suite – software intelligent asset management, monitoring, predictive maintenance, and reliability in a single, cloud-based platform. This software corresponds to the concept of Industry 4.0. The speakers also spoke about the prerequisites for introducing an artificial intelligence system for processing large amounts of data.

Also, at the conference, a project called «IBM and Vetasi partnering up in rebuilding war-torn city of Kharkov» was presented. It aims to use IBM solutions to rebuild the cities of Ukraine through digitalization, which were destroyed during the war, including Kharkiv.

Senior Lecturer Yulia Denysenko, Ph.D., started her internship at the Poznan University of Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The research topic is related to the study of modern technologies in production planning and tool management. The internship mentor is Dr. Justina Troyanovska, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

In addition to research, Yuliya Denysenko acquires experience in the educational process and participates in conferences and other events. For example, Yulia Denysenko joined the tree planting ceremony on Earth Day.

As part of an internship at the Kielce University of Technology within the Erasmus + program, Ph.D. student Vladyslav Andrusyshyn presented the Smart Production Systems Modelling Laboratory at the Centre for Science, Research, and Innovation (CENWIS), Kielce University of Technology, at the exhibition CONTROL-STOM 20.

The exhibition was dedicated to industrial technologies, such as modern machining centers, collaborative robots, robotic grippers, fixtures, cutting tools, 3D printing devices, precision measuring devices, etc. This exhibition is one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe.

As part of the ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH EUNanoGreen project, a lecture on "Responsible development of nanosafety as the contribution to the European Green Deal" was given to TeSET students by Prof. Diadiura Kostiantyn.

According to the results of summarizing the ranking of structural units of Sumy State University in 2021, the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools took an honorable third place among 41 graduate departments.

This result became a record for the department thanks to the persistent and systematic work of all employees, Ph.D. students, and students.

Let this achievement inspire us to new achievements and victories!

On April 1, after a forced vacation, the educational process was resumed at Sumy State University in the spring semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

Training is conducted in a remote (synchronous and, or asynchronous) format, taking into account the technical capabilities of all participants using the available communication channels: videoconferencing, personal account, e-mail, forums, social networks.
