On December 23, 2022, the first students defended their master's theses of program subject area 131 "Applied Mechanics", the educational program "Mechanical Engineering Technologies" and program subject area 133 "Industrial Mechanical Engineering", the educational program "Metal Cutting Machines and Systems". Some of the students defended their master's thesis in English.

Eduard Baskakov presented a master's thesis on the topic: "Experimental study of process parameters effect on surface roughness while drilling cylindrical holes in CFRP/Ti alloy stacks", the supervisors of which were Ph.D. Vitalii Kolesnyk (senior lecturer at the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools , Sumy State University) and professor, Ph.D., Jozef Peterka, (Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Materials Science and Technology in Trnava, Slovak Republic).

Mykhailo Amelin presented his results on the subject of his thesis: "Rational choice of modes of cutting materials on a laser engraving machine" under the supervision of D.Sc., Professor Vitalii Ivanov (Head of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools, Sumy State University) and Assoc. Prof., Ph.D. , Jozef Husar (Technical University of Košice, Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies with the seat in Prešov, Slovak Republic).

David Yusupov defended his master's thesis: "Improvement of the technological process of the shaft FSK-0001.00.327 manufacturing by structure and parameters optimization of a finishing operation", the scientific supervisors of which were Ph.D. Artem Yevtukhov (Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Manufacturing Engineering, Machines and Tools, Sumy State University) and Prof., Ph.D., Alper Uysal, (Yildiz Yıldız Technical University, Turkey).

We congratulate our graduates on defending their diploma thesis and are glad that, despite all the difficulties, they successfully presented their works! We wish them luck and success in further achievements, ideas, aspirations, and endeavors!
